FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are your terms & conditions?

Generally, net 30 days with approved credit.  At Woodgraphix we require a 50% deposit on custom orders.

 

What is your shipping policy?

At Wood Graphix we will pack and ship any item.  Weight and size usually determines the best shipping method unless the customer has a preference.  Shipping discounts are available with several major motor freight carriers that can be utilize for larger shipments.

 

What kind of software & equipment to you use?

SOFTWARE: Master Cam, Art Cam Pro, eCabinets, Corel Draw, Adobe Photo Shop, and Photo Grav are the main software programs utilized at Wood Graphix.  EQUIPMENT: Thermwood model 40 cnc router, Cam Tech Lasermaster cnc laser, and an Epilog legend laser

 

What kind of files can you accept?

Acceptable file types:  psd, ai, dwg, dxf, mc, jpeg, stl, rlf, eps, cdr , just to name a few.  At Wood Graphix we can usually start with most any type, however, depending on the application, some types work better than others. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

 

Do you charge design fees?

Yes. CAD/CAM design is charged by the hour.

 

Do you have size and quantity limitations?

Yes and no.  Our cnc router table is 5’X 10’, we have one laser with a 32”X 20” work area and another with a 4’X 8’ table.  With advanced software, we can create most any size project by processing it in sections.

 

Do you create prototype pieces?

We will be happy to produce prototypes for you.

 

Do you do your own finishing treatments?

Most finish treatments are done in house at Wood Graphix.  Under certain circumstances, finish work may be outsourced.

 

What kinds of wood do you offer?

We can work with all domestic and exotic woods and all man made wood products.  See our applications page for other materials we work with.

 

What does CNC mean?

Computer Numerically Controlled.  CAD (computer aided design) software is used to create the geometry or part and the CAM (computer aided manufacturing) software is used to create the code the machine uses to actually cut or etch the part.

 

What are your size restrictions on carvings?

Basically, 5’ X 10’ in one piece.  A carving this size or larger would usually be made up of several smaller carvings joined together.

Please feel free to call or email us with your needs and ideas.  We can then work up a sample, prototype or quote based on your project.

 

How long will my project take?

Smaller items can generally be “worked in” with our current schedule.  Larger jobs will have to be determined at the time of order depending on our current backlog.

Absolutely, we’re not happy until you are!
